Mac - When logging in, random popups of folders, documents and programs

This is a Mac feature that reopens everything you had open prior to the last shutdown.

Apps, folders, files open upon logon to Mac.

Resolution

To turn this off, when shutting down the Mac you will get a popup asking if you would like to reopen the windows that are currently open.  Untick this box and and restart PC.  Windows should not open up again on login..

The simplest way to disable an app from launching on startup is to do it from the Dock.
 Right-click on the app and hover over Options in the menu. 
Apps that are set to open automatically will have a check mark next to Open at Login.
 Tap that option to uncheck it and disable it from opening

 

Cause

Apps, files and folders left open when computer shutdown will open on next logon
