Poly Edge - Using Directory Search

Placing Call to Directory Contact

1.
To call a user or service in your organization where you're unsure of the contact information, you can search your directory on your desk phone. To begin, press the Search function when on the lines view

Using the letters above the numbers on the dial pad, search for the first or last name of the user you wish to call (e.g. to search for Tim you would press 8 (T), 4-4-4 (i), 6 (m)) and press Submit

Using the up and down arrow keys on the navigation button, highlight the desired entry in blue

Press Dial

Save Directory Contact as Speed Dial

1.
If you wish to save a directory contact as a speed dial, do steps 1-3 in the previous section
2.
Instead of pressing Dial, however, press More then View

Confirm the contact details and press Save

Make any changes to the speed dial entry you wish at this point and then press Save

Now the entry will show up as a speed dial on your phone in the next available line position

NOTE: This is a static speed dial, meaning it will not update automatically if the user's information (first name, last name, phone number, etc.) changes
