Teams Remote Session Do's and Dont's

If you are attending a USJ Class or Meeting remotely using Microsoft Teams, here is a list of “Do's” and “Don’ts”  to ensure a good quality Teams Meeting:

Do:
1.    Join from a laptop or desktop computer
2.    Work from an area that has a stable and consistent network, either direct wired network or strong Wifi signal (not walking around or outside).
3.    Make sure to use the downloaded/installed Microsoft Teams application NOT the web version
4.    Observe good online meeting etiquette – Mute microphone when not in use

Don’t:
1.    Join remote sessions from Cellphones or iPads - their signals are weaker and can disrupt the entire meeting
2.    Use cellular, hot spots or public networks (i.e. Starbucks) to join the Teams meeting
3.    Use a VPN service (NordVPN, Forticlient) on your network connection while joining the meeting
