Environment

Resolution
- Log into Blackboard at http://bb.usj.edu using your USJ username and password
- Enter your course shell in one of two ways: (1) select it under "My Courses" on the homepage or (2) select the arrow next to your name in the upper-right corner; in the menu, click on the course title, under the course tab.
- Once in the course, you should see an assignment tab on the left side of the page.
- Click on the assignment name. Here, you may find instructions uploaded by your instructor on how to complete it. If your instructor attached files related to the assignment, click on the file to download and save it to your computer so you can work on it.
- Once you have completed the assignment and have saved it to your computer, return to the place within your course where your instructor placed the assignment (you will submit your assignment in the same place you accessed it in the previous step).
- In the Assignment Submission section of the page, click on Browse My Computer to find and attach your assignment.
- If you need to attach multiple files, click Browse My Computer again.
- To remove a file from your submission, click on the Do not attach link.
- Do not paste your assignment into Submission or Comments.
- If you would like to save the assignment and complete it later, click on Save as Draft. Your instructor will not receive the assignment until you click Submit. Once you have completed and uploaded the assignment, click Submit to hand it in to your instructor.
You will know if your assignment is successfully submitted once you see the purple bar on the top of the page that indicates your assignment was submitted and you will also receive a confirmation on your USJ email.
Cause
The assignment tab allows you to view and submit assignments. You can access assignments from a link on the course menu called "Assignments." Or, your instructor might incorporate assignments into each week's content. Your instructor may make some assignments available after a certain date. Make sure to look at your syllabus for assignment due dates and dates when assignments will be available. Ask your instructor if you have questions about how your course is organized.
